Shalom every body!

My name is Danny and I’m Jewish. Hanukkah is my favorite holiday of the year –- especially when my bubbe, which is the word we use for "grandma," makes me potato latkes. Mmmm!

My parents took me to visit their country Israel once. We went to a wedding with my whole family. There was lots of singing and dancing and they made the bride and groom sit in chairs and then they carried them around the room. It was neat!

I love playing basketball and soccer. Sometimes my friend Marisa and I kick around the soccer ball together. I also like baseball. I think I like cricket too. I’ve never played crickiet, but my friend Raj is going to teach me.

I also like playing “let’s pretend.” When all of my friends are together, I like pretending that we’re on a safari –- or climbing a mountain. Raj and I have a lot of fun doing this.

I want to be an adventurer when I grow up – like Indiana Jones – and travel all around the world.
