Hi.  I’m Alisha. I’m my brother Trey’s twin sister! We live here in the U.S. with my mother, father and grandfather.

I’m 5 years old and I go to school.  My teacher is Mrs. Guzman. She's real cool and has a daughter named Violeta. They are both from from El Salvador. 

My best friends are Marisa, Brianna, and Rina.  Marisa and I fool around a lot. We play hand-clapping games and jump rope together all the time!

I also like to play softball with my brother Trey. We also like to make stuff, like castles, in the sand. Usually, Amir and Danny will join us.

But most of all, I like to read!  My dad likes to read, too.  He’s a college professor, so he knows a lot about all kinds of things.  He says you can learn a lot from reading books –- and from also from going places! Once he took us to New York and we visited the Statue of Liberty. It was awesome.

But my dad can be embarrassing sometimes – especially when he tries to teach my friends stuff. 

Let’s see – what else.  Oh yeah – sweet potato pie is my favorite food! Raj's sister Asha really likes pie too. I think she likes any kind of food!
